According to the Federal Road Police – PRF, until 4:00 pm yesterday (31), the total number of incidents on federal highways in Brazil was 211. Blockages were confirmed in Acre, Amazonas, Bahia, Ceará, Distrito Federal, Espírito Santo, Goiás, Mato Grosso, Mato Grosso do Sul, Maranhão, Minas Gerais, Pará, Paraíba, Paraná, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Rio Grande do Sul, Rio Grande do Norte, Rondônia, Roraima, Santa Catarina, São Paulo, Sergipe and Tocantins.

The situation is more critical in the south of the country, where rural producers and walkers have blocked practically all major accesses through federal highways and the population is already queuing at gas stations for fear of fuel shortages.

According to sources, the protesters are waiting for a statement from the president of the republic, who has not yet commented on the result of Sunday’s election.

There is widespread distrust after a tense election, full of judiciary interference and cases of explicit censorship. The protesters are also awaiting the result of the audit of electronic voting machines carried out by the Armed Forces.
